For the Twilight Fans...

I found an incredible thing the other day. Alice Cullen inspired fingerless mitts!  I knew the Twilight fans out there would really dig these, so here you go!  Of course I had to find a pic of Alice sporting hers, and below you will see the version I created.

Truth be told, I found a pattern for them online, but when I finished them they looked like a chicken leg.  Not attractive at all!  So I rewrote the pattern to my liking and this is what I produced!

Now for those of you who are die-hard Twilight fans, there are specific yarn types available that have been inspired by the series.  You can find them all over the internet.  Please check out the Accessories page for ordering details.

  1. These mittens are so romantic and great if you are a typist or office worker to keep your hands from freezing.
My love for crochet has only just blossomed at 48yrs old and I want to be able to crochet blankets, bags, shawls and hats with LOTS of flowers on and my gran is now too old to teach me to crochet. In fact I had to crochet a little cell phone carrier for her Tracfone SVC phone for seniors (it's got bigger keys and letters on the screen) so that she can carry the phone around her neck in case of emergency's. Seniors have so much wisdom and knowledge to teach their grand children only I never asked my gran to teach me to crochet. It should be a granny's duty to pass on this beautiful craft.
I think crochet items are coming into fashion into specialty boutiques and modern country stores now and I hope a lot more people will take up this hobby, it's great to receive such beautiful items as gifts.

  2. I love knitting and crocheting myself and hey what a great idea to crochet a pouch for my grandmother to wear her cellphone around her neck. My grandmother has a SVC which she loves and carries on her all the time in her purse. but to think that now she could carry it at all times. Another tip for all you handifolk. For safety and emergencies the cheapest service that I found, for a cellphone, was $7 a month (Tracfone SVC) HAPPY MAKING
